Age requirements are participants as young as 13 years may volunteer with a parent or guardian present at all times. Those over 18 do not need a parent or guardian present.
We rely heavily on our volunteers and cannot run certain programs or events without the help of our dedicated volunteers. It is important, therefore, to ASYMCA and those we serve, that volunteers honor their commitment once they have signed up for an assignment.
Once you have completed your application and background check, and are activated as a current volunteer in our system, we will email you information about current volunteer opportunities that are available. When you see an opportunity you like, simply reply to the email with your selection or contact the POC for that opportunity.
Per Army Regulation 608-1, all installation volunteers are required to register in the Volunteer Management Information System (VMIS): and document hours by day each month. Once you have created an account in VMIS you will need to search for Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg and apply for the volunteer position you would like. We have opportunities available for all of our programs but if you are unsure, please register as a general volunteer.
